Joni Calcagni
Owner-Director-Instructor Extrodinaire
Joni has been teaching dance for 40 years.
She has owned her own studio for 35 years.
She has inspired countless children, who have turned into adults and passed what they learned onto other children.
The children she has inspired have brought their children to her to instill the love of dance.

Jackie Trottier
Competition Director- Instructor
Jackie Howe Trottier has been a competitive gymnast from the tender age of 5- 16 years old. She started teaching gymnastics when she was 12! Additionally, she was a competitive dancer from the ages of 7- 18. She has been teaching and choreographing dance since she was 16. By day, she is an educator at a local school, which is why she finds continuing her education in dance and instruction so important, and seizes every opportunity to do so. She teaches tumbling, jazz, lyrical, and hip hop, as well as being the fearless director of the JSOD competition team!

Kaylee Hallstrom
Choreographer-Travelling Correspondant
Kaylee has been dancing at Joni's since she was six years old and assisting Joni teach since she was only nine! She has been teaching her own classes for three years. She loves watching her students develop and grow over the years. She has a true passion for dance that truly shines through in her choreography.

Sue Booth
Instructor- Classical Ballet Virtuoso
Sue started teaching at Studio One for Dancers in Oakland Maine in 1991. After leaving Maine she owned A Step Above for Dancers in Northfield for 22 years. She is a graduate of the Boston Dance Teachers training program and has been certified to teach by Dance Masters of America. She is looking forward to her second year at Joni’s school of dance.
She lives in Northfield with her husband Paul and her sons Ryan and Kyle, who are all very involved in the basketball community.
Fun fact-Sue was in a dance video of an emerging artist that appeared on MTV in the early 90’s.

Sierra Straight
Instructor-Choreographor
Sierra has been dancing for 17 years, since she was 2 years old! She has danced many genres such as ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, ballroom, hip- hop, contemporary, modern, and pointe. She competed for four years throughout New England. She has attended many conventions and workshops. She has trained with famous choreographers that have choreographed dances for Justin Bieber, Rihanna, Drake, Britney Spears, and many others. She started teaching her own classes at the age of 15 and has now been teaching for four years! She absolutely loves dancing and sharing her passion through teaching.

Hannah Dwire
Ballet and Tap Assistant
Hannah Dwire has been dancing at Joni's since she was 2 years old! She has been assisting Joni for 3 years.
"I love dancing because it makes me feel a way that I can't feel doing anything else. I can just let everything out on the dance floor. I really love Joni's because it is a safe and fun environment that welcomes everyone"
When Hannah is not dancing, she loves to draw, paint, and spend time with her family and friends.

Cameryn Melendy
Ballet/Tap/Hip Hop Assistant
Cameryn is 11 years old. She has been dancing at Joni's since she was two years old. This will be her second year as an assistant.
Cameryn loves teaching at Joni's because"It doesn't matter who you are or what you like to do. When you are at Joni's, you can be who you are and know that being yourself is ok. It is so important that the really little kids know that being yourself is ok!!"
